Aerial Photos

Listed below are answers to questions you may have about Kentucky Aerial Photography.

1) Why should I choose Kentucky Aerial Photography for my project?

Kentucky Aerial Photography has the unique combination of skills not found in many other aerial photography companies. This company is owned and operated by an experienced FAA Certified Flight Instructor and corporate pilot with hundreds of hours of logged instruction time, thousands of hours of aerial photography experience and over 25 years of other photography experience. Our skills and experience would be a wise choice to meet your business needs.

2) What are the benefits of having aerial photographs of your property?

A. Custom aerial photography can provide many benefits for your business, residential or personal needs. Besides giving you the bird's eye view of your property, they provide views of surrounding features that are important to your clients, especially those that are unfamiliar with the local area. Aerial photos can also orient people to your property in relation to major roads or landmarks. In addition, aerial images would be a great center piece for your business brochures, web site or conference room.

B. Contractors: We can provide you and your clients with construction progress photos as well as a series of photographs of the completed site.

C. Realtors: Obtain an aerial photo of your development or specific property for sale. An aerial photo of undeveloped land or subdivision can show the great location to perspective buyers.

D. Land owners: Need a picture of your property for your office or den? We have many solutions for you.

3) What does a typical aerial photo mission entail?

First of all, we need to know what type of photograph you need and where the property is located. To help us accurately fill your needs, any of the following information will help us locate and properly photograph your site.

A. A map (road map or topographical map) showing where your site is located. An existing photograph of the specific site is always welcomed.

B. A map showing the property boundaries (if required).

C. A general description of any local landmarks to help identify the site. (GPS coordinates (Latitude and Longitude) are greatly welcomed).

D. Any specific instructions on how to photograph the site (specific angles, landmarks to be included, time of day, or altitudes)

4) What is your Method of Photography?

Kentucky Aerial Photography utilizes digital photography. We generally like to photograph on days of good weather. However, if you are in a rush for a photograph, we can strive to meet any deadline. It is Kentucky Aerial Photography's mission to provide our customers with prompt, quality service and we are willing to modify our schedule to meet your needs.

Unless specified otherwise, Kentucky Aerial Photography prefers to fly during the middle of the day to minimize long shadows. Typically we will provide our customers with images from several different angles and include both up-close and wide-angle views. We can even provide overhead photos if requested.

After the flight there are several options for delivery and additional processing of your images.

1) Place thumbnails and full size images on a secure web site for you to view or download (some limitations apply).

2) Place your images on a CD or DVD for mailing or hand delivery (depending on location). We provide the first CD or DVD free of charge. Contact us for a quote for each additional CD or DVD.

3) Have your images printed. (Extra charges. We can furnish you with rates).

As always, please contact us for a custom quote. We realize that our customers have very different requirements and we are always willing to modify a mission to get the pictures you need.

Photo Finishing

Kentucky Aerial Photography also provides printing of your images after the job is flown. We can provide high quality prints suitable for framing from as small as 4x5 inches to as large as 24x17 inches. Our prints would make a great addition for any family room or conference room.

Quality is important to us. With more than 15 years experience in inkjet and commercial printing, we do most printing in-house. This allows us to control quality and expedite photos to accommodate your needs.
